Apprenticeship and career

15 new apprentices at Gottwald

This year 15 apprentices again started their working lives and are taking their first steps towards an exciting career at our company.

We are delighted that we can welcome two young women and thirteen young men to our team. So that the apprentices get to know each other quickly and learn important basics right at the start, we organised our Gottwald apprentice week again.

Managing director Jürgen Gottwald welcomed the new apprentices on Monday 30 August.

That was followed by team-building games , a short company presentation , talks by occupational physicians and safety officers and an interesting puzzle rally across the whole company site.

On day 2 the young people received tool training from technical director Thomas Grossinger and, under the supervision of fleet manager Martin Hofer and warehouse manager Bernd Eßbüchl, were allowed to cut and drill for the first time – wearing their personal protective equipment, of course.

During the workshops on "my role as an apprentice" and "communication" on Wednesday and Thursday, our apprentices learned about their rights and obligations, among other things.

To round off apprentice week, managing director Bernd Gottwald, technical director Thomas Grossinger, apprenticeship officer Philipp Kager and apprentices from all year groups took part in a top-class go-kart race at the Wachauring.

We wish you a great start to your career, and every success and enjoyment!
