This year again Gottwald's women enjoyed themselves at the popular ladies' day: an entertaining evening in convivial company. On Saturday 12 October 2019 the Gottwald women from the store, the wine shop and the Melk headquarters, along with some of our pensioners, spent another enjoyable evening together.
It started at 5 p.m. in the Rathauskeller in Melk with an aperitif and a three-course meal. In good company there was plenty of chat over tasty food. Afterwards they walked to the Tischlerei Melk, where from 8 p.m. the current programme “Schatzi, geht's noch? Paaradox, zweiter Akt” by Gabriele Kuhn and Michael Hufnagl awaited them.
Old love, new madness – the successful couples-therapy production entered its next round on the stage of the Tischlerei. The last word between the likeable power couple Gabriele Kuhn and Michael Hufnagl is far from spoken. Instead, with entertaining reliability and amusing hair-splitting at the highest textual level, they make one scene after another for each other once again – their earnest marriage vows always in view. For 20 years the two have been fighting for their shared happiness, for 20 years Austria's best-known columnist couple has been on an expedition through the jungle of everyday life, and for 20 years she and he have sworn by the winning formula “keep loving – keep suffering – keep laughing”. The question posed by the new programme: “Darling, seriously?” The answer: “Yes. And how!”
It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening with plenty of laughter and fun. Warm thanks once again to the boss, who makes this day possible every year.
