Apprenticeship at Gottwald: a sixth week of leave to prepare for the final exam
|2 min read
Why an extra week of leave?
In Austria employees are usually entitled to five weeks of leave a year. Our apprentices, however, receive a sixth week of leave from Gottwald. This week is intended specifically for intensive preparation for the forthcoming final apprenticeship examination. Our aim is to reduce the pressure and to give our apprentices the chance to prepare thoroughly for this important step in their careers.
The extra week of leave for exam preparation brings our apprentices a number of benefits:
- Less stress : by preparing purposefully in a relaxed atmosphere, our apprentices absorb the exam material better. That means less stress.
- Better exam results : through intensive preparation and the extra time, our apprentices demonstrably achieve better results in their final examination. That opens many doors for their professional future and makes them sought-after skilled workers.
- Career opportunities : with a successful qualification and good results in the final examination, many career options are open to our apprentices. Gottwald supports its apprentices in their further professional development after their training too.
At Gottwald we are proud to support our apprentices on their way and to give them the best possible conditions for successful vocational training. The extra week of leave to prepare for the final examination is just one example of our investment in tomorrow's skilled workers. Because here, encouraging young talent comes first.
