Out into nature, ready, go! The spusu Lower Austria company challenge ran again from 1 March to 31 May, with every minute of outdoor exercise counting for employees of the participating companies. It makes no difference whether you like to work up a sweat running, storm the summits on a hike, turn the pedals of a bike or feel the wind in your face on inline skates.
In 2024, Sportland Lower Austria, together with spusu, the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce and Sodexo, went looking for the region's most active companies for the seventh time. Gottwald did not need asking twice and once again resolved to build exercise into the working day and to motivate each other to get moving alongside colleagues.
In total we collected 94,837 active minutes as a company. Around 45 employees took part in the challenge – we are delighted with every single one of them, and wanted to add some extra motivation with the following prizes:
- From 500 active minutes: a sports towel
- From 1,000 active minutes: a sports water bottle
- From 2,000 active minutes: a sports bag
The prizes will be handed to our employees at this year's summer party. Our star athletes have a further surprise in store. The top-placed athletes at Gottwald are:
- Anna Hulek with 9,099 minutes
- Thomas Eß with 8,420 minutes
- Christian Fraisl with 7,239 minutes

Anna, Thomas and Christian not only won the Gottwald standings, they also inspired the team with their tireless motivation.
