On 14 December 2024 the Gottwald team swapped screwdrivers for baubles, hard hats for party hairdos and measuring instruments for mugs of mulled wine. The result? An unforgettable Christmas party at the festively decorated Schloss Luberegg – the perfect moment to celebrate an eventful 2024 in style.
It was clear the moment you walked in: today the Christmas spirit was going to blossom in every guest, and properly so! Around 280 colleagues, pensioners and guests of honour got into the mood for the evening over mulled wine, roast chestnuts and Christmas music from the Melk brass band.
The official part began with speeches by Jürgen, Bernd and Peter Gottwald – a perfect mixture of looking back, looking ahead and the odd anecdote that raised a smile. Lara Gottwald rounded off the mood with a reflective Christmas poem. But what would a Gottwald Christmas party be without a good round of applause for the awards?
Apprentices, anniversaries and something to celebrate twice over
Anyone who thinks electrical engineering is only cables and circuits should meet the talent shaping our future! Our apprentices were honoured for 28 distinctions and 11 good results at vocational school, as well as several successfully completed final apprenticeship examinations. Another highlight: honouring our long-serving employees. 23 colleagues were recognised for 10 to 30 years with the company – including one special anniversary: Reinhard Fuchsbauer, our commercial director, who was celebrating 30 years of service and his 50th birthday at the same time. Twice the reason to raise a glass!
A year of anniversaries – and what a year
2024 was a very special year for Gottwald: 45 years of Elektro Gottwald, 25 years of the Parndorf site and 25 years of the Wein & Wachau wine shop. And on top of that, the extension of our Melk headquarters with a new training workshop and workplace childcare. That had to be celebrated.
A festive feast and a wonderful atmosphere
The Pichler family from the Wachau treated guests to a festive menu that left nothing to be desired. The photo booth, music and easy conversation at the bar kept everyone entertained. The Christmas party was made for bringing a successful year to a close in the best of spirits.
It was an evening on which the Gottwald team proved once again: together we are more than just a company. In that spirit: Merry Christmas – and here's to a 2025 full of energy!
