The Gottwald employees celebrated this year’s Christmas party on Saturday, 14 December 2019 – for the second time already – in the festively decorated tennis hall in Melk.

Managing director Jürgen Gottwald opened proceedings, warmly welcoming the assembled party, the pensioners and the guests of honour. “2019 is and was the year of anniversaries. 40 years of Elektro Gottwald, 20 years of Elektro Gottwald in Parndorf and 20 years of outstanding wines in our Wein & Wachau wine shop. In 2018 we rebuilt our store in Melk, expanded the range and reopened. We took that as an opportunity to celebrate the anniversary the way we started 40 years ago – in the electrical shop, with our long-standing and newly won customers. On the other hand it was also very important to us to celebrate with our employees, who have played a decisive part in this success story over the past 40 years”, said Jürgen Gottwald in his speech.
A review of the past anniversary year then took another look at the completed projects, the joint outings and activities. Immediately afterwards Bernd Gottwald gave all new employees a warm welcome to the Gottwald team.
This year, too, an important part of the programme could not be missing: Gottwald’s apprentices were honoured for their good and excellent results at vocational school as well as for their final apprenticeship examinations. In total an impressive 16 excellent and 15 good results were achieved at vocational school.
HONOURING LONG-SERVING EMPLOYEES
The management – Jürgen, Peter and Bernd Gottwald – honoured the Gottwald team for their years of service with the company. This year there was again a special anniversary and twice the reason to celebrate. Reinhard Fuchsbauer, commercial director and long-standing employee, celebrated 25 years of service and at the same time his 45th birthday. For the occasion senior boss Rudolf Gottwald also came on stage and thanked Mr Fuchsbauer for his many years of loyalty. The guests of honour Peter Reiter, head of the Melk district office of the Chamber of Labour, and Franz Eckl, chairman of the Melk district office of the Chamber of Commerce, would not miss the chance to congratulate him and present a gift and a certificate.
The evening was rounded off with a delicious festive Christmas menu from Pichlers Donauhof, fun in the photo box and at the table football and billiard tables. Gottwald’s employees enjoyed being together in high spirits and celebrated the year gone by.
