By building a new central municipal works and maintenance yard, the town of Amstetten was able to merge several depots into a single operations centre. At the same time Amstetten is giving the more than 100 employees of its works yards a thoroughly modern workplace.
The new building covers around 25,000 m² and houses the administration building, the workshop, warehouses, garages and a wash bay. The hall roofs and carports were also fitted with a 496.05 kWp PV system. And for the municipal maintenance department’s electric fleet there are now 16 EV charging points available.
