Within a single year, the SKA Zicksee orthopaedic clinic was renovated and modernised. To meet patients’ wishes and needs even better, additional single rooms were created as part of the conversion, and key areas of the building were redesigned and fitted with state-of-the-art technology. The rehabilitation centre now has a capacity of 140 beds, which means that around 2,100 inpatients a year can be examined, cared for and treated.
In the extensions to the ward wing, particular attention was paid to designing the rooms with the everyday challenges faced by patients with musculoskeletal disorders in mind. In addition, as part of the ward wing extension, a PV system was installed.
