This year again the Gottwald teams were up at the front and achieved excellent results. On Easter Monday, 22 April 2019, the time had come: the annual Melk Easter Run took place.
In brilliant sunshine and summery temperatures, Melk town centre filled not only with runners but also with many spectators cheering them on.
The children's race started at 1 p.m., with three young Gottwald runners – Simon Fußthaler, Tobias Fußthaler and Kilian Stegfellner – making a successful start. Next came the pupils' race, in which Lia and Lara Gottwald took a fine 7th and 10th place.
In the 5 km race Birgit Zimmel, Claudia Schadenhofer, Jürgen Gottwald and Gerald Zimmel achieved good times. Shortly after the 10 km race came the prestigious relay. A total of 38 relay teams started, five of them from Gottwald.
