Apprentice week: ready for the future

|3 min read

Since apprentice week in August 2024, thirteen promising newcomers can look forward to an exciting four-year apprenticeship as an electrical technician. During that time our apprentices work in a wide variety of areas, on large and small industrial, commercial and private sites.

They are assured of training of the highest standard, the range of tasks to be learned is extremely broad, and a generous helping of fun and team spirit is guaranteed. We are especially pleased that this year we were able to build on our female talent further. Once again this year an ambitious young woman is starting her apprenticeship with us.

MORE ON OUR FEMALE TALENT

Apprentice week

The absolute highlight this year was once again the Gottwald apprentice week. It gives our apprentices and our apprenticeship officers a relaxed start to working life, lets everyone get to know each other quickly through games and fun, and teaches the most important basics for a successful apprenticeship right at the start.

Welcome day and newcomer battle

Entertaining group games, played both together and against each other, aimed above all at one thing: teamwork! In marble-run races, a game of "Scattergories" and a marshmallow-eating contest, the apprentices could show what they are made of.

Puzzle rally

The company site became a quiz zone. Armed with a puzzle card, our apprentices solved tasks from everyday working life in all sorts of departments.

Some of the clues were hard to crack – this really did call for teamwork.

Learning something new

Interactive talks on values and beliefs, the basics of communication and nutrition were on the programme, giving our newcomers plenty to take away for the future.

Team building at the joint cooking workshop

Around the nutrition talk by "Mach ich", everyone cooked together. Our apprentices were properly challenged with healthy, creative recipes.

Tool day

Not to be neglected under any circumstances: knowing your tools and handling them correctly. Drilling, cutting and bending all have to be learned!

Graffiti workshop

To round off apprentice week, the apprentices got properly messy one more time. The graffiti workshop with artist Sarah Kupfner was all about creativity.

Training workshop

From now on Gottwald's apprentices can enjoy a special new addition at the Melk site: our training workshop is opening its doors. It takes apprentice training at the company to a new level.

Across 180 m² of floor space, theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical engineering is taught, development areas are worked on and team spirit is strengthened. Our apprentices therefore learn faster how to work independently on projects and take on responsibility, and they shine at vocational school too.

TO THE TRAINING WORKSHOP

True to the motto "the early bird catches the worm", we are happy to receive your application for an apprenticeship right now. Don't hesitate – get in touch today:
