On Friday, the 10 October 2025 In Melk, we opened our doors to everyone who wanted to know how exciting, versatile (and sometimes a bit electrifying) the world of electrical engineering is.
Already in the morning it went around: Three schools – the Middle school Krummnussbaum which: Melk secondary school and the Polytechnic School Ybbs They were visiting with their students. 30 interested young people together with parents and friends: followed our invitation to learn more about the many possibilities of an apprenticeship at Gottwald.
Stations, electricity and fun ⚙️
At several stations, our guests were able to experience up close what constitutes the electrical engineering apprenticeship at Gottwald: Corporate governance concerning artisanal work in the Training workshop and in Distribution services all the way to tool science and exciting information about training.
Particularly popular was our VR glasses , with which one could dive into the basics of electrical engineering without risking electrocution. Photo box .
Whoever gets a stamp at all stations and the Stamp(s) passport fully filled, was rewarded with a goodiebag.
Good mood, good conversations – and good jause 🥪
Of course, with so much excitement, the strengthening must not be missing: a buffet filled with alarm clocks, sweet platinum and drinks provided the necessary energy, where the opportunity could be used to ask questions and exchange ideas with our apprentice officers, the management and our apprentices.
The Day of Electrical Engineering offered an insight into the profession and the training opportunities at Gottwald. For us it was a complete success – with curious students, interested parents and a lot of enthusiasm for what we do every day.
We say Thank you. To everyone who was there, helped or just brought a good mood. And who has now got the desire to start the electrical engineering apprenticeship at Gottwald himself: Just have a taste – we are looking forward to you!
