On Friday 21 April 2023 some 15 Gottwald colleagues sent the yellow felt ball flying busily over the net. That afternoon – in glorious weather, with food from Fleischerei Sdraule, good music and plenty to drink – saw the first Gottwald padel tennis tournament.
The format was chosen so that teams were drawn afresh again and again, making it a sporting way to get to know one another. From Gottwald youngsters to old hands, from seasoned players to complete beginners – everyone was there. An event that met with nothing but a positive response and is definitely crying out to be repeated.
The top-placed teams
Winners: Mario Will and Stefan Dotzauer
Runners-up: Patrick Erber and Stefan Eimer
Third place: Anna Hulek and Philipp Kager
Gottwald would once again like to thank UTC Melk – with whom we have enjoyed a long-standing partnership – for their support. They made their grounds available to us for this entertaining afternoon.
