With the extension of the Melk health and office centre (GBZ 2), the perfect complement to the existing GBZ 1 was built in just one year of construction. The aim was not merely to deliver an extension, but to create a well-considered, sustainable and modern centre with smart building technology, a renewable energy supply, e-mobility solutions and efficient use of space.
On this project the Gottwald team took care of the complete electrical fit-out: from the power supply through the lighting to the security, fire alarm and communication systems. At its heart is the intelligently networked building control, covering heating, lighting and shading as well as access control and the alarm system. A powerful PV system with a PV carport and EV charging points, together with two air-source heat pumps, supplies the building with environmentally friendly energy.
Particular electrical requirements were met in areas such as the treatment room, radiology’s new MRI scanner and the pharmacy. The result: a future-proof building that combines comfort, sustainability and efficiency.
