Our company culture is strongly shaped by family friendliness and the balance between work and family. Ever since the family business was founded by Rudolf and Elfriede Gottwald and then handed over to their sons Jürgen, Peter and Bernd, family has been an essential part of the company. “berufundfamilie” certification
We are delighted that, since 2024 and through the berufundfamilie certification, we have been allowed to carry the “family-friendly employer” quality seal and have thus been recognised for our commitment to greater family friendliness. The certification brought an outside perspective to bear on the company.
On the one hand, the certification anchors and confirms what Gottwald already does and lives in terms of family friendliness. On the other hand, further measures are being introduced that are tailored to the needs of our employees and so further improve employee loyalty and satisfaction.
Workplace childcare
Gottwald's workplace childcare, known as the Glühwürmchen (glow-worms), opened its doors to employees' children in September 2024. This offers particular added value not only to the company but above all to our employees. Family friendliness and the workplace childcare project are an important step in making it easier for employees to return to work quickly at a time of growing skills shortages.

The rooms are designed so that the children can explore their world and shape it creatively:
With around 40 m² there is plenty of space for movement, play and relaxation. Wall bars and a climbing wall, gym mats and a playground of around 300 m² outdoors offer plenty of room to move during childcare hours.
Team
For its workplace childcare, Gottwald relies on childminders employed by the company. Childminders are brought into the company, which makes it possible for children to be looked after by qualified staff right at the company site. Two dedicated childminders take turns looking after the children, ensuring both continuity and variety.
