An apprenticeship at Gottwald – does it appeal?

|4 min read

There are many important factors to consider when deciding on a trade. The content of the trade and your future workplace certainly play a decisive role. But the training company itself has to match your expectations too. Because we want it to be really good for you here, our comprehensive, professional training comes with a number of BENEFITS on top:

Get-together

You should feel at home from the very first minute. During apprentice week all Gottwald apprentices come together at the start of the training year and get to know one another. Team building, fun and action are at the heart of those days. As the grand finale of an eventful week, our apprentices get to take on the management in a go-karting duel.

“Talking brings people together!”

That is how we see it too. Whether at the summer party, the Christmas party, on Shrove Tuesday, at the table football tournament or hiking, skiing and running together. Lightening up the working day is good for the soul. That is why it matters to us to make regular get-togethers possible for colleagues and, at the same time, to say "thank you" for what they do.

Your hard work is rewarded!

Our bonus system rewards good results at vocational school. For your results you receive a financial contribution in the form of gold ducats. At best we even cover the cost of your driving licence.

FIT 4 THE FINAL EXAM

Worried that you will not have enough time to study for the final apprenticeship examination? We want to take some of that worry away: you receive 4 days of special leave from us, which means you can stay at home to study the week before the exam without using up valuable holiday.

Fit as a fiddle

In our in-house gym you can work out whenever you like and take part in a group session once a week. The tennis and padel tennis court are also free for you to use for a battle with a colleague. Aches and pains? Through our online booking system you can sign up for a massage very easily.

More in your pocket

Earning your own money for the first time, being able to afford things or saving for something special? At Gottwald you earn more in the first two years than the law requires. The Gottwald Card also holds numerous advantages for you with regional partners. You receive a discount when buying car tyres, taking out a gym membership or in restaurants, bars and bakeries, for example. Our corporate benefits programme lets you buy from well-known brands at reduced prices in all sorts of areas (sport, travel, cars, fashion and so on) or buy leisure tickets at a discount.

Ready for work

Having to equip yourself with a tool case is a financial burden for you and your parents. We cover the cost and provide work clothing too.

Filling the energy store

Every morning the mobile baker is waiting to supply you with healthy snacks. We give you a financial contribution towards a well-filled Gottwald roll. In the staff room you can also help yourself to regional juices and organic teas.

Knowledge beyond the horizon

Interesting internal training courses and personal development training await you. External training on lifting and carrying, working on live systems, first aid, KNX and more also takes place at regular intervals.

Your personal coach

Our apprenticeship officer Philipp Kager accompanies you throughout your apprenticeship, shares his expertise and is there with help and advice. You get to know him in person before your apprenticeship even begins.

Never stop moving

Would you like to climb the career ladder? With hard work and commitment many doors are open to you. Whether senior fitter, in-house technician, technical draughtsperson or perhaps even project manager one day – we support our apprentices' development and are proud when we can train them into leaders.

A family atmosphere

Despite the constant growth of our company we have never lost our family character. A pleasant working atmosphere, helpful colleagues and a sociable spirit are what set us apart.
