Why workplace health promotion must not be a side issue? Why employees' mental and physical health should be the focus? Why corporate health is more than a lifestyle topic?
If employees are doing well, the company is doing well π THAT'S WHY!
Gottwald has been looking after colleagues' physical and mental well-being for decades. In recent years in particular, a great deal of time has been invested in driving workplace health promotion forward.
π It starts early in the morning: if you arrive by public transport you can pick up a Gottwald bike at the station and pedal to the headquarters.
π Once you are there, fresh fruit provides a small boost, regional juices a shot of freshness or Sonnentor teas comforting warmth.
π At lunchtime too, Gottwald colleagues do better than average. Twice a week our canteen team freshly prepares a two-course lunch for a small contribution towards the cost. Produce from our own raised beds is often used for it. A free salad buffet comes on top of that every day.
π Anyone who has helped themselves a little too generously at lunch can either take a short break in the quiet room or restore the calorie balance after work with a session in the in-house gym. Speaking of the gym: group fitness sessions take place there at regular intervals.
π If something is aching, or you simply want to treat yourself, there is also the chance β twice a week again β of a massage. In addition, Gottwald's company doctor helps with questions about health prevention and promotion.
βBest of all, though, we like this: strengthening the sense of togetherness while doing something for health and well-being at the same time,β says Philipp Kager, the company's HR officer.
π So every year we have a technicians' hiking day, on which we do a long walk together and stay overnight in a mountain hut, a joint ski day and our participation in the Melk Easter Run. After work, colleagues can also use the tennis and padel tennis courts at UTC Melk free of charge.
A great all-round offering, which we will keep extending and improving. Because:
motivated, satisfied and above all healthy employees are the capital of every successful company.
