May we introduce? Our own top cooks, Monika, Christine and Renate!
Twice a week the Gottwald staff at the Melk headquarters are treated by the three of them to a two-course meal. Whether vegetables or meat, sweet or savoury, soups or salads – Renate, Christine and Monika bring a smile to every gourmet, large and small.
Our cooks attach particular importance to the regional origin of the produce. Much of it comes from our own vegetable garden or from senior owner and hunter Rudolf Gottwald.
With the variety of dishes they prepare, our cooks outdo themselves week after week. That the lunch menu goes down well is clear from the record: at peak times the trio cooks for an average of around 35 colleagues .
To keep the menu affordable, the company subsidises the cost by €2 .
For the rest of the week our cooks make sure that the food is hot at midday, the drinks are ready and the free salad buffet for the workforce – often with vegetables from the company's own raised beds and greenhouse – is prepared.
