On 18 July 2024 Gottwald's apprentices had a special day that put their creativity and their practical skill centre stage. As part of the new building project they were able not only to help shape the design but also to prove their artistic talents.
Creativity meets craft
SIUZ inspires the apprentices
The renowned artist SIUZ (Sarah Kupfner) led the art workshop, which invited all Gottwald apprentices to express themselves artistically. The creative focus of the workshop was graffiti art. The trainee electrical fitters had the chance either to spray their own works or to work together on a canvas in small groups.
The results of the workshop can be admired in the new building. The works created, whether individually or as a group, were carefully placed in the stairwell of the building. They give the new building a personal touch and reflect the commitment and creativity of the apprentices.
The day showed how craft and art can come together, and how important it is to give young people room for creative expression. Gottwald's apprentices proved impressively that they not only know their craft but can also convince as artists. 😉
