Modern LED technology provides safety, reduces electricity consumption and cuts CO2 emissions.
In cooperation with EVN we are currently renewing the entire street lighting in Leiben. “Converting our street lighting network to modern LED technology means our municipality saves energy costs and makes a contribution to reducing CO2 emissions,” says mayor Gerlinde Schwarz. Thanks to the refurbishment, around 76% of current electricity consumption can be saved. That is equivalent to the consumption of more than 30 households. In future it will also avoid 8 tonnes of CO2 a year.
Work on the roughly 400 light points is due to be completed by autumn 2021. We look forward to working towards a more sustainable future together with the market town of Leiben and EVN.
