Our workplace childcare offers added value both for employees and for us as a company. Parents know their children are well cared for, can balance family and work more easily and return to working life sooner. We at Gottwald benefit from greater continuity in employment, lower staff turnover and therefore less loss of know-how, better planning certainty and more motivated employees.
Care by workplace childminders: a practical and educationally valuable solution
In putting workplace childcare into practice we are using the new model of workplace childminders. Under this model childminders are integrated into the company, making childcare by qualified staff right at the company site possible. The rooms are designed so that children can explore the world around them and shape it creatively. Around 100 m² provide plenty of scope for movement, play and relaxation. Wall bars, a climbing wall, gym mats and an outdoor playground give the children plenty of room to move during the hours they are with us. There are also quiet places to withdraw to, so the little ones can relax in a hanging den or the tree house whenever they need to. The children are given healthy food from the company canteen as well as small snacks in between.
