Donation transfer to save the child NÖ

|2 min read

Sometimes the most beautiful ideas are created very easily in everyday work, as was the case with this donation to Save the Child NÖ.

Division manager of the external residential groups Birgit Nachförg and residential group manager Fels am Wagram Anja Malat together with the Gottwald management Bernd, Jürgen and Peter Gottwald (back), employee Gottfried Lahmer (center) and team leader Andreas Höfer (left) at the donation handover.

While servicing fire alarm systems, our employee Gottfried Lahmer worked at several supported living groups run by Rettet das Kind NÖ – in Traisen, Leiben, Traismauer-Stollhofen, Fels am Wagram and Absdorf. In the process he got to know the organisation and its valuable work more closely. For him it was quickly clear: this is something we would like to help with. That is how the idea came about of supporting Rettet das Kind NÖ not only with our work, but with a donation as well.

Help that arrives where it is needed

The donation will be divided equally between the five outdoor living groups and used for offers that directly benefit the children and young people, such as leisure activities such as visits to the cinema or excursions to the outdoor pool, therapeutic offers such as animal-assisted therapies with ponies, holidays – the next one leads to Carinthia and onwards to Italy – or a joint ski course with children from different residential groups.

We find it particularly nice that the children are allowed to have their own say in many activities, so that the money is used precisely where it is fun, good and needed.

Donations in Melk

We were very pleased that outdoor residential group head Birgit Nachförg and Anja Malat, residential group head in Fels am Wagram, visited us for the donation handover in Melk and gave us an insight into their everyday life in the following conversation.

This project is very close to our hearts, so we are all the more pleased that we are able to support Rettet the Kinder NÖ on this path.
