Full power at the new site

The rooms of the new branch in Parndorf are coming to life day by day and everything is taking shape. Our management went to see for themselves last week and paid the Parndorf team a visit. They all agree: “The result is something to be proud of!”

“We're packing our bags …”

In January 2021 the foundation stone was laid for the new Gottwald site. Over more than 10 months there was digging, concreting, bricklaying, fitting, installing and floor laying. In the final phase came the furnishing, planting and decorating. “Now the time has come!” says managing director Peter Gottwald. “Our team in Parndorf can finally move in and take up a fine, modern base with plenty of comforts.”

At the new company site in Parndorf we offer our employees the most modern offices, staff and meeting rooms, a staff kitchen and a well-equipped gym. Ample parking and both a diesel and an electric charging point add further comforts. The trees, fruit-bearing shrubs and vines we have planted create a welcoming atmosphere. The beehives on site are responsible for the flowering meadow next door.

The new company building in Parndorf opened in November and is currently a professional home to 25 employees.

The end is in sight!

“Eight months after building began, our site in Parndorf is taking shape and we are approaching completion of the new building in great strides,” says managing director Peter Gottwald, who is responsible for the construction in Parndorf.

The building and facade are finished and the warehouse with its delivery and dispatch bays has already been erected. The traffic areas on the site are asphalted and concreted, and the parking areas are laid with permeable paving.

So that journey times and distances are as short as possible for our fitters in Parndorf too, a filling station has been built to supply our vehicles with fuel. We are also well prepared for the future with charging points on the company grounds.

Inside, the ceiling is up and the air conditioning installed. By the end of September the electrical installations will be completed and tiles and flooring laid.

The next step is to fit a PV system on the roof and install a racking system.

Once the furniture has been delivered and assembled, our Parndorf team expects to celebrate in November the start of a new future .

"WE'RE WATERTIGHT!"

The flat roof is finished. Everything else is moving on in great strides too. Now that the dry-lining contractors (Schreiner) have put up the walls, we are currently working on the electrical installation. All the windows and external doors are already in the building (Uni-Con). At the end of May the steel contractors start on the warehouse (Stahlbau Ebner).

A photovoltaic system will be fitted immediately after the hall is finished, to generate electricity and to cool our office building in summer and heat it in winter. Together with many regional firms we are currently working to finish our branch and move in as soon as possible.

The windows can start going in!

The building site for the Parndorf branch is moving along nicely – we are exactly on schedule and have already confirmed all the contractors. The ground-floor ceiling is in place and the upper floor is currently being built. The undeveloped area is reserved for our Gottwald bees – here too we have already taken steps so that they feel at home when they move in. The beekeeper who will look after the residents of the bee meadow has been engaged as well.

As at March 2021

Our branch in Parndorf was set up as a satellite office back in 1999. Over time the site kept growing.

The site was bursting at the seams and there was no warehouse. In 2019 the decision was taken: a new company building in the Kälberweide industrial estate, not far from the Parndorf outlet centre, was needed.

Because of Covid, the originally planned start of construction in May 2020 was put on ice for the time being. It was another nine months, in January 2021, before the moment came: the foundation stone for a new branch was laid. The shell was up at the end of March, and in winter all employees are due to move into the new building.

The new company building is a small “mirror image” of the headquarters in Melk. A completely step-free ground floor, ample parking, a gym, an EV charging point, a photovoltaic system and an air source heat pump providing a modern heating and cooling system are all part of the new site. A beekeeper looks after the beehives on site, which provide a flowering meadow next to the company and produce the traditional Gottwald honey.

A turbulent year is coming to an end and new projects and challenges are already lined up for our

team. We believe in the future, so now is exactly the right moment to gather our strength

and invest. That is why we decided to build a new Parndorf branch.

The new Gottwald site is being built in the new Kälberweide commercial area in Parndorf, next to the outlet centre and the Pannonia Tower. On the 3,600 m² plot a modern office and warehouse building is planned; as in Melk, EV charging points and a PV system are part of the plan.

We are currently in the planning phase; construction starts in January so that work can already be under way in the building in winter 2021.
