Melk meets Parndorf

|2 min read

On Saturday 7 September around 40 Gottwald employees enjoyed a special outing to Burgenland – under the motto Melk meets Parndorf. In brilliant sunshine and summery temperatures the colleagues from Melk set off to visit the Parndorf branch and to spend a varied day in the region.

The day began in Parndorf

After arriving there was a tour of the Gottwald Parndorf branch. The Melk colleagues gained interesting insights into the branch, which has existed since 2021, and were able to talk with their Burgenland colleagues about everyday work.

There was plenty to eat and drink too: the Flying BBQ food truck visited Gottwald on the company grounds and supplied everyone with a variety of burgers, chips and grilled sausages. Refreshed, the group could turn to the rest of the day's programme.

A boat trip on Lake Neusiedl

One highlight of the day was the boat trip across Lake Neusiedl, organised by Schifffahrt Knoll. On calm water, under a blue sky and with cold drinks, everyone enjoyed the relaxed journey.

Sparkling wine tasting at the ANobis winery

After the boat trip we went on to the ANobis sparkling wine cellars for a tour and tasting. Employees gained an insight into how sparkling wine is made and could taste four different varieties on the spot.

Rounding off the day at the Heuriger

The perfect end to the day was a visit to the Heuriger at Weingut Preschitz. In a convivial group, colleagues rounded off the day with regional specialities and wines. The relaxed exchange between colleagues from Lower Austria and Burgenland was at the heart of it.

The company outing “ Melk meets Parndorf ” will certainly stay in the memory for a long time. The mixture of professional exchange, shared experiences and good food created a convivial atmosphere in which the sense of togetherness in the company could be strengthened further. The day together showed how important personal contact is for the cooperation between the two sites.
